Molead 10.5-Inch In-Line Aftertreatment System

August 21 , 2026

Currently, most commercial vehicle aftertreatment products feature complex structural designs that encroach on chassis space and increase vehicle curb weight, leading to higher fuel consumption during operation. Moreover, in real-world commercial vehicle operations, exhaust pipe crystallization and clogging are common failure issues. Downtime for repairs and part replacements indirectly drive up ongoing maintenance costs. The quality of commercial vehicle aftertreatment systems directly affects the vehicle's total lifecycle operating income.

Against this backdrop, Molead has launched its 10.5-inch in-line aftertreatment system, designed to deliver operational efficiency gains for users across four key dimensions: lightweight construction, high reliability, high uniformity, and low noise.

Molead 10.5-Inch In-Line Aftertreatment System

Lightweight Construction – Featuring an integrated monolithic structure, the unit weighs as little as 45 kg, with exhaust backpressure maintained within 22 kPa. When applied to coaches and medium/heavy-duty trucks, it increases available chassis space and reduces fuel consumption by 0.5%.

High Reliability– Equipped with proprietary non-wire-mesh mixer patent technology, it reduces particulate mass and number emissions by over 90%. In 20-hour extreme transient bench tests, crystallization was limited to just 3 g. The system has also undergone 300,000 km of real-vehicle verification, demonstrating stable and reliable anti-crystallization performance. Advanced manufacturing processes—including GBD fully automated substrate packaging, robotic automatic welding, and laser welding—ensure flawless appearance, airtight seals, and substrates that remain intact without cracking or shifting.

High Uniformity – The Molead 10.5-inch in-line aftertreatment system achieves pollutant conversion efficiency of up to 99.5%, helping reduce vehicle urea consumption by 3%. Over the full lifecycle, it minimizes crystallization-related disassembly and cleaning, lowering ongoing maintenance costs.

Low Noise – To address the industry challenge of loud exhaust booming and poor ride comfort in passenger vehicles, the Molead 10.5-inch in-line aftertreatment system incorporates an innovative "low-resistance mixer structure + high-noise-reduction exhaust outlet design," achieving exhaust noise levels ≤65 dB(A) at idle—comparable to normal conversation volume—providing a quieter cabin environment for drivers and passengers.

Molead aftertreatment systems are compatible with mainstream engine displacements from 2L to 16L, covering coaches, medium-duty, and heavy-duty commercial vehicles. To date, over 100,000 units have been put into operation, validated across extreme conditions including high-altitude, high-cold, and high-temperature environments, with extensive road-test data accumulated. At the same time, Molead is committed to driving iterative product innovation through real-world market data, ensuring that each new generation of products better aligns with actual operating conditions, addresses customer pain points, and delivers "high-quality" component parts that truly stand the test of time.

Commercial vehicle operations are a long-term endeavor. The value of parts lies not in their upfront price, but in their ability to deliver savings and stability over the full lifecycle. Going forward, Molead will continue to break through core technologies in commercial vehicle components, responding to market needs with "high-quality" products and safeguarding sustainable, long-term profitability for commercial fleets.
